Ukraine Bombs Kindergarten in Belgorod

The Russian Defense Ministry informed that its forces continue to fight in the Kursk border region.
On Monday, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod province, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported a new Ukrainian attack on civilian targets, among which was a kindergarten.

This attack marks the third incident in which educational facilities have been directly affected by Ukrainian bombings in the area. Previously, two kindergartens and a school also suffered significant damage.
As a result of these events, Gladkov announced the temporary closure of schools and kindergartens in the area, implementing remote classes for at least a week to protect residents from future attacks and ensure the safety of the children.
Last week, Ukraine used cluster munitions fired from Czech RM-70 Vampire rocket launchers to attack Belgorod and its surroundings, leaving seven civilians dead and 46 people injured, including seven minors. This incident was labeled by President Vladimir Putin’s administration as a premeditated act of terrorism.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry vowed to punish those responsible for these acts and criticized Western countries for supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine, accusing them of complicity in Kyiv’s actions.
On Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry informed that its forces continue to fight in the Kursk border region, where Ukrainian forces have been conducting a large-scale military operation for four weeks.
“Units of the Sever (North) group with support from aviation and artillery fire repelled six enemy assaults” on four towns in the Kursk region over the past day, the military report said today, adding that Russian troops thwarted three attempts to attack two other towns in the area.
In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces suffered 40 casualties, Russian military officials said, recalling that Ukraine has suffered 8,900 casualties since the start of the incursion in Kursk on August 6.
